History
Architecture:The Baker house is a Queen Anne styled home built in the late 1890s. Here is the description of the house from the National Register of Historic Places nomination form:
"The plan is ell-shaped with a round tower centered on the south side. The roof is gabled with a hipped section which joins the three story tower to the 2 1/2 story house. The entrance porch which radiates out from the tower is semi-circular and is decorated in spool and spindel work supported by scroll brackets on posts which are set on capitaled wood piers. Entrance to the porch is through a 'moon gate'. The building has a dentiled and ogee cornice. The gable ends are pedimented and finsihed imbricted shingles. In each gable end is a palladian window. The third story of the tower is finished in rectangular shingles with a band of diamond shingles around the middle of the story. The tower has a ogee and dentiled cornice. Windows are one over one with stone lentils and sills. The foundation is rusticated stone. Alterations include an addition to the west, marked by a change in brick pattern. The porch floor originally wood was replaced by concrete in the 1920's. The tower roof burned in 1922. On the interior is a central stair. The woodwork is 'curley' pine and the mantels in the first floor rooms are oak."

Personal Experiences
An investigator in the 2nd floor bedroom to the right of the stairs had a strange sensation when she was sitting at the desk facing the bed. She introduced herself and asked if anyone present would shake her hand. The hand on her knee that was open, but not the hand outstretched, suddenly felt extremely cold and began to tingle. This was repeated twice with the same sensation. Later, while doing a group EVP session in this same bedroom's large bathroom, 3 investigators felt sensations of being touched after asking to be.The energy in the dining room felt heavy early on during the investigation during the initial walk through, but when we spent time there near the end of the investigation, the heaviness was not felt anymore.
At approximately 7:50 PM during the initial walk through, one of the investigators was walking through one of the rooms. Stopping to read the house rules, the investigator heard the door knob (to a door that is not in use) start to jiggle. The investigator was the only one in the room, and the other investigator on the floor wasn't anywhere near the room.
On the second floor in the bathroom at approximately 8:45, as we were all in the bathroom, Nathan mentioned feeling a pressure on his shoulder, then Mindy mentioned feeling the same sensation. We tried to speculate that it might be the air conditioning or something, but then I felt a pressure on my left shoulder. It was as if it went around us in the circle. I mentioned feeling a chill when that occurred.
