Hauntings

Do you think your house has a ghost?
Do you see or hear things at home?
Are you afraid of them?

If so, hopefully we can help you overcome your fears and maybe not be so afraid.

It's perfectly normal to be afraid, everyone is...yes, really!! Everyone!!

You can write down a list of everyone's name you know, and each person you wrote down will have been afraid at some point!

We all go through very scary stuff sometimes, but we all have to learn to face what scares us; it's a natural part of growing up. Learning to face our fears is the first step toward not being afraid anymore!

The first thing you should do is find someone to talk to. It should be someone you trust and who won't laugh at you. Like your parents!! It could also be an aunt or uncle, older brother or sister, your pastor, your teacher, or even a best friend. (You can talk to anyone you want, but talking to an adult will probably be more beneficial in the long run!)

Talking about what's happening and what is frightening you can help a lot. It can make you less afraid and it can remind you that you're not alone; this happens to many people.

You are welcome to email APRA at help@arkansasparnormal.net and we can talk to you and try to answer questions, but without your parents' written permission, that's really all we can do to help.

If your parents need or want to talk to us about what is going on, be sure to give them our email address or the link to our website. We have a page that could help them, too! It can help your parents help you, and we would be happy to talk one-on-one with them about your situation at home.

Another easy thing to do, is if you tend to have nightmares or scare easily, stay away from the scary movies and tv shows about ghosts! Even though you probably realize that it's all not real and that it's totally fake, sometimes it can still give you bad dreams. It's best sometimes just to skip those kind of shows!

If you end up having to go to a doctor because of your fears, don't worry or feel bad. It's ok, most people have been to a doctor like this and it will help you to talk to them and be honest, let them help you.

These simple things could help get rid of your fears! Remember to talk this out with your parents or a family member!! You'll be ok!!

  • Get a nightlight for your room
  • Get out of the house, go play, and don't dwell on things at home
  • Stand up and face what's scary and firmly say "Go AWAY!!!"
  • Tell someone what's happening
  • Pray or talk to your pastor
